Minutes of the days: " Infancy, Youth, Disability and Society" to celebrate in the Assembly hall of the Elder Museum, organised by the Association of disabled Canarian workers "MELODY".

Objectives of the meetings:

The association of Canarian people with disabilities "MELODY", was created by people who both have physical disabilities and no, to offer information, help and advice on coping with life having a disability. As well as informing people of tools for better integration of disabled people, and informing these people of their fundamental rights according to the constitution and encouraging these people and others to enforce these rules.

We have dedicated these days to the disabled infancy and youth in the Canary Islands, and that they do not have limits to the range of services, relations, games, education and labour because of a lack of training or information. The debate will act as a "contact zone" A debate between that is not integrated, like the element of disabled discrimination, in areas like working and education.

10:30 - 11:00 Delivery of the information.

11:00 - 12:30 h : The opening act from the Authorities/presedent of the

Association of Canrian people with Disabilities "MELODY" presented by Sra. Mª del Carmen Hernández Bento (Manager of social services of the Canarian Government).

11:30 - 12:30 h.: Round table: New technologies for people with disabilities (Assistants: Don. Jacinto Quevedo Sarmiento (Director of the Elder museum in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria); a representative of the project " MEDUSA " of the Council of Education of the Government of the Canary Islands; Dña. Asunción Fenoll Cerdá (Responsible for the office of people with disabilities in Elche).

12:30 - 12:45 : Break.

12:45 - 14:00 .: Round Table: Employment and disability in the Canaries (Asistant: Mr Ernesto Pérez Reyes (council of employment and local development of the city hall of Gran Canaria); MR Claudio Rivero Lezcano (manager of general employment management of the Canarian Government); a representative of the foundation "Emprende Canarias"; Mrs. Asunción Fenoll Cerdá (responsible for the disability office in Elche).

14:00 - 15:00 : Round Table: Youths with disabilities in the Canary Islands (Assistants: Mr Carlos López Melo (Part of the general management of youths for the Canarian Government); A representative of the council of Gran Canaria; a representative of the town hall of Gran Canaria; a guardian to a youth with a disability; Mrs. Asunción Fenoll Cerdá (Responsible for the disabled office in Elche).

11:00 - 12:00 .:Communication: The unfairly treated and the disabled Mrs. Mª Dolores Mora Garrancho (Member of the general management. For the protection of minors and family).

12:00 - 13:15 .:Round Table: The minor with disabilities in the Canary Islands(Assistants: Mrs. Mª Dolores Mora Member of the general management. For the protection of minors and family).; a representative of the council of Gran Canaria; a representative of the town hall of Las Palmas in Gran Canaria; Mrs. Asunción Fenoll Cerdá (Responsible for the disabled office in Elche).

13:15 - 13:30 Break

13:30 - 15:00 : Round Table: The treatment of the minor from the family or the youth with a disability; "Protectionism badly understood" (Assistants: Mrs. Asunción Fenoll Cerdá (Responsible for the disabled office in Elche); Mrs. Elsa Rodríguez Tadeo (Professor in the department of phycology and sociology of the university of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria U.L.P.G.C); and an ancestor of a minor with disability.

11:00 - 12:00 .:Communication: sexuality, parenting, maternity and youth with disabilities by Mrs. Asunción Fenoll Cerdá (Responsible for the disabled office in Elche).

12:00 - 13:15 .:Round Table: Child and youth education for those with disabilities.

(Assistants: Mrs. Rosa Marchena Gómez (Professor in the education department of U.L.P.G.C.Unoversity of Las Palmas de Gran Canariaa member of the education council of the Canarian Government; a teacher is specialised education; Mrs. Asunción Fenoll Cerdá (Responsible for the disabled office in Elche).

13:30 - 14:15 .:Round Table: The law on sexuality, obligatory sexual education (Assistants: Mr Carlos López Melo (member of the general management of youths of the Canarian Government); a youth with disabilities; Mrs. Asunción Fenoll Cerdá (Responsible for the disabled office in Elche).

14:15 - 14:45 .:Round Table: Youth, disabilities and games: adapted beachesadapted cities, trips, the dangers of the internet acting as a substitute for socialisation (Assistants: Mr Fernando Lajusticia Billanova (responsible for the office of accessibility of the council of social services for the Canarian Government); Mrs Lucciane Neri (teacher of tourism in the Brazilian university and a member of MELODY); Mrs. Asunción Fenoll Cerdá (Responsible for the disabled office in Elche).

14:45 - 15:00 .:Closing of the meetings and the delivery of the diplomas.
